Senior Recruiter – Talent Acquisition | Contract/FT: Pre-IPO Biotech Company: NJ

Employment Type: Contract / Possible conversion to FT

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Recruiter to join a fast-growing, innovation-driven biotechnology company. This individual will support the Talent Acquisition team in driving full-cycle recruitment for mid-level leadership roles.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recruiter who has operated in a high-growth biotech or pharmaceutical environment and thrives in a fast-paced, build-mode setting. The role requires a strong partnership with hiring managers, a proactive sourcing approach, and the ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously.

  • Contract role with potential for extension
  • On-site presence required 3–4 days per week in Princeton, NJ
  • Immediate impact role supporting critical hiring initiatives

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for a variety of mid-level roles, including R&D and Commercial
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to understand business needs, role requirements, and hiring priorities
  • Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies to identify and engage high-quality candidates
  • Conduct candidate screening, interviews, and assessments to ensure alignment with role and culture
  • Manage the candidate experience from initial outreach through the offer stage
  • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for ongoing and future hiring needs
  • Provide market insights and hiring intelligence to stakeholders
  • Ensure accurate tracking of candidates and processes within the ATS
  • Support broader Talent Acquisition initiatives as needed in a high-growth environment

Qualifications / Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5–10+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience within corporate Talent Acquisition or executive search
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting for R&D and commercial roles within biotech or pharmaceutical organizations
  • Strong preference for candidates who have worked in high-growth or scaling environments, ideally within biotech
  • Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions across functional areas (including R&D) and deliver in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong sourcing capabilities using LinkedIn, networking, and other tools
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

PREFERRED BACKGROUND:

  • Experience supporting organizations through rapid growth or transformation
  • Blend of agency and in-house recruiting experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with the Princeton / New Jersey life sciences talent market
