Our client is an attractive, well-funded, rapidly growing pre-IPO clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing transformative therapies for patients with significant unmet medical needs. With multiple anticipated milestones and organizational expansion underway, this is an exciting opportunity to join the company at a critical inflection point and play a highly visible role in shaping its people strategy and organizational capability.

The company is seeking a strategic, business-oriented HRBP to partner closely with executive leadership and functional leaders across the organization. This individual will help drive organizational effectiveness, talent strategy, workforce planning, leadership development, and change management initiatives during a period of meaningful scale and growth.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial biotech environments and enjoys balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution. This is a 6-month contract opportunity with the potential for conversion based on business needs and performance. Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic HR partner to senior leaders and client groups across the organization.
  • Partner with leadership teams on workforce planning, organizational design, talent management, succession planning, employee engagement, and change management initiatives.
  • Help develop and execute people strategies that align with overall business objectives and support organizational growth.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to leaders on organizational effectiveness, team dynamics, leadership capability, and performance management.
  • Support organizational scaling efforts by helping build and optimize HR programs, processes, and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with HR Centers of Excellence and broader HR leadership to ensure delivery of effective programs and solutions.
  • Utilize analytics and workforce insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting the business.
  • Partner with leadership to drive employee development, retention, and culture initiatives.
  • Lead and support change management efforts tied to organizational growth, business transformation, and evolving business needs.
  • Help foster a high-performance, collaborative, and values-driven culture.
  • Provide thoughtful and practical HR guidance while balancing near-term priorities with long-term organizational objectives.

Qualifications / Requirements

DESIRED BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree and/or HR certification preferred.
  • Approximately 10+ years of progressive HR Business Partner experience within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or broader life sciences industry.
  • Strong experience supporting business leaders in areas such as organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, leadership coaching, and organizational transformation.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-growth, and evolving environments.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Experience supporting scaling organizations and helping build organizational capability is highly preferred.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable navigating ambiguity within entrepreneurial environments.
